Low-Carb Italian Sub Wrap (Printable version)

A crisp low-carb wrap packed with provolone, spicy meats, and tangy banana peppers.

# What you need:

→ Wrap & Cheese

01 - 1 low-carb tortilla, 8-inch diameter, approximately 6-10 grams net carbohydrates
02 - 2 slices provolone cheese or mozzarella

→ Meats

03 - 3 slices salami
04 - 3 slices pepperoni

→ Vegetables & Seasonings

05 - 1-2 tablespoons banana peppers, sliced
06 - 1-2 teaspoons Italian dressing or vinaigrette

# Steps to follow:

01 - Preheat a non-stick or cast-iron skillet over medium heat until hot and dry.
02 - Place the tortilla flat in the hot skillet and arrange provolone slices on one half of the tortilla.
03 - Distribute salami and pepperoni slices over the cheese in slightly overlapping layers.
04 - Scatter sliced banana peppers evenly across the meat layer.
05 - Lightly drizzle Italian dressing over the fillings, avoiding saturation.
06 - Fold the empty half of the tortilla over the fillings to create a half-moon shape and gently press with a spatula. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom achieves a golden-brown color and cheese begins melting.
07 - Carefully flip the wrap and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes until crisp and cheese is completely melted.
08 - Transfer to a cutting board, rest for 1 minute, slice in half, and serve immediately.

# Expert tips:

01 -
  • Fast & Fresh: Ready in only 11 minutes from start to finish.
  • Keto-Friendly: Only 6–10g of net carbs per serving.
  • Melty Goodness: Pan-searing the wrap ensures the provolone is perfectly melted and the tortilla is golden.
  • Customizable: Easy to swap meats or add veggies to suit your preference.
02 -
  • Resting Time: Letting the wrap rest for one minute after cooking is essential; it allows the cheese to firm up slightly so the fillings don't slide out when you cut it.
  • Dressing Control: Use only 1-2 teaspoons of Italian dressing to prevent the wrap from becoming soggy during the toasting process.
  • Allergy Check: Always check labels on processed meats and dressings for hidden soy, sulfites, or milk.
